Our Executive VP, Bob Freed, took part in the TIA Policy Forum in Washington DC on June 6 and 7th.   The goal was to seek support for the FAA Reauthorization Act which would create a National Hiring Standard for safe drivers and a clear methodology for 3PL’s and Forwarders to follow.  Currently there is no clear-cut safety standard.    

It was exciting to meet with New Hampshire’s Congresswoman Kuster, Senator Shaheen and Senator Hassan.  A Thank You goes out to Congresswoman Kuster for signing the Congressional Bi-Partisan Letter of Support for the National Hiring Standard.  Our hope as this goes over to the Senate, it will be supported by the Senate as well.
